Teaching and Consultation
I have extensive experience in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and professional development levels. Formerly a full-time Instructor at Temple University's School of Social Work, I have also provided continuing education in a number of venues and at the request of agencies and organizations. My teaching style is interactive, dynamic and passionate about being accessible and appropriate to adult learners. The ethics of the social work profession are a foundation for any program I offer.

Graduate-level courses taught include Advanced Clinical Practice I and II, Assessment and the DSM, Health/Mental Health Policy, Integrative Seminar, Foundations of Advanced Social Work and overseeing independent study/supervising interns.

Undergraduate-level courses taught include Communication in Social Work Practice, Introduction to Social Work and Senior Seminar.
Professional development seminars and workshops include the Clinical Supervision Certificate program (with Dr. Claudia Dewane), Ethical Practice with LGBTQ Communities, Scenario-Based Learning in Social Work Education (with Dr. Kathryn Brzozowski at the CSWE Education Annual Conference), Ethical Decision Making (Provided for staff at Pathways to Housing in Philadelphia, PA), Taking a Sexual History (with Dr Kim McKay), Anti-Diet: A Clinical Book Discussion, Gender and Sexuality: Creating Inclusive Agency Policy (with Dr. Kim McKay), Meeting Students’ Gender Needs (Provided for the staff at Temple University's School of Social Work), DSM-5 update
